Ted Holcomb
Coach Biography
Ted Holcomb is co-head coach of both the 16U and 12U Wildcat teams. Him and Gregg Knight come from a very successful career with the Firecrackers organization winning many championships and tournaments over the years. Ted comes from a baseball background. He was a high school All-American at Westchester High and was drafted by the Dodgers out of high school. He played six years in the minors learning from some of the best baseball instructors and coaches in the country. His older daughter Jenna was an all SEC player for the University of Tennessee and his younger daughter Julie will be going the San Diego State to play for Stacey Nuveman. From all his years of coaching Ted has built strong relationships with many D-1 colleges that follow his teams wherever they go. The stands are always full with colleges at the showcases the Wildcat Holcomb/Knight team are at. His teams are known for being very athletic and fast. The Holcomb/Knight team can manufacture runs with the best of them. Ted said he learned from the best which is coach Rob Weil on how to do that and that his players are trained and ready to go for Robs 18 Gold team once they get there.
