Kevin Haaksma

I have been coaching sports since I was 16 years old and FP Softball for the last 10 years. I am a retired Navy Pilot and Officer who fell in love with the game immediately after my daughter joined in 2012. She left the sport 3 years ago now, but I continue coaching because there is no game like it on earth. It is fast, it is forgiving, it teaches, it humbles, it speaks, it creates lasting relationships (which to me is the most important part), and most importantly it is fun and makes me a better person. I am an NFCA member Coach, ASA Certified to the highest level, and treat coaching FP 14u-18u softball as my profession. I pride myself on being a student of the game through mentorship with other coaches, watching the game, reading about the game, and attending as many coaching clinics as my free time allows. I have no clue what my record is as a coach, but I do know I love coaching and watching players get better in softball and life. I am humbled to be just a small part of their journey along the way!
